Millennium Hotels and Resorts will make its debut in the United Arab Emirates with the opening of two five star hotel properties. The 325-room Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi is due to open this spring. The twenty-storey building with views out to sea features a Royal suite with dining for up to 24 people, a separate lobby and two bedrooms. Other facilities at the hotel will include a business centre and a Moroccan restaurant. Frank Zeller, former general manger of the five star Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel in Singapore and senior vice president of operations for Asia Pacific at Millennium & Copthorne, has been appointed general manager of the hotel. The chain's second property, the 23-storey Millennium Hotel Sharjah, located on the central lake in Sharjah, is currently under development. The hotel's contemporary design will house a ballroom catering for up to 350 people, two restaurants and a royal suite.
