A range of speakers, from philosopher Alberto Peretti to neuroscientist Claudia Aguirre, joined more than 400 guests at Comfort Zone’s recent ‘Experience Tour’.
Held in Assisi, Italy, from 9-11 November 2014, the talks were complemented by a number of award ceremonies which were held to reward Comfort Zone’s most longstanding clients and team members.
The company said Assisi was chosen as the location of the event because of the “spiritual meaning and historical value recognised by the presence of St. Francis”.
Events included an exchange of ideas from spas around the world, with participants Dr. Nicholas Fortunati, director of Fonteverde Collection, Amanda Teng, director of Andaz Shanghai Xintiandi, and Awni Abu-Ulba, director of Utopia Spa. The session highlighted the need to search for the values of the spa, the need to focus on the spa’s goal, and to provide strong training and education of staff.
Performance artist Miyoko Shida Rigolo demonstrated how passion and continuous improvement can lead to a perfect balance and consequently to wellbeing and harmony, while neuroscientist Claudia Aguirre shared her experience of research and innovation in the skincare field, emphasising the close connection between the mind and skin.
