Best Western India has launched its Premier brand into India after adding the Kolkata-based Vedic Village Spa Resort to its portfolio.
The four-year old, 140-room resort - which is around 40 minutes from the city centre and 20 from the airport - offers a centre for holistic wellness with a choice of rejuvenation and therapeutic care including spa, yoga, naturopathy and traditional Kerala Ayurveda.
Other facilities include a lotus-shaped swimming pool with waterfall, a gym, two restaurants, a lounge bar, six conference rooms and a convention centre. Accommodation includes villas, suites, studios and farmhouses.
The 150-acre resort, which was completely renovated in 2009, will be managed by Cabana Hotel Management Pvt and joins a chain of twenty Best Western properties operational and under development throughout India. Among these are Amritsar, Baddi, Gurgaon and Mathura in the north, Cochin, Hyderabad, Trivandrum in the south and, Goa, Pune, Ratnagiri and Surat in the west.
